Best practices for Diggy

To ensure you and your users can make the most out of Diggy, here are some recommendations of best practices to adopt in your Diggspace.
These best practices will also help with the overall usage and experience of the portal, ensuring that users can find the most relevant information to them.

Use textual content

Avoid creating content that is entirely composed of images. Diggy cannot read the text that you add to images, and therefore, this information will not be used to answer questions users write to Diggy.
This will also improve the global search within the portal, as we can only search within text.

Upload files as PDFs

Files that are not expected to change, can be uploaded as PDFs. This will give you three benefits:
  1. Diggy will be able to read the content of the file
  2. PDFs are the standard for interoperability, ensuring that the files will be readable and look the same across all devices
  3. The content of the file can be searched in the global search

Keep content up to date

As Diggy will look at all content in the portal, if there are two conflicting articles, Diggy will be unsure of which to use.
Making sure that the portal content is up-to-date, not only improves the replies generated by Diggy, but will also result in more clarity regarding the information in the portal.
There are many strategies for keeping the portal up-to-date, you can consider some of the following depending on your goal for Diggspace:
  1. Delete content that is outdated
  2. When new content is created, make sure to update the previous content where this information is outdated and refer to the new location
  3. Update old content instead of creating a new one
