As a hub for your company's work, Diggspace integrates with the Microsoft 365 search, to ensure that you can search for what you need, in one central location.
With the Microsoft 365 search integration, you can search for OneDrive files and Sharepoint sites and lists. This enables you to find relevant documents and work items inside Diggspace, without having to jump around between platforms.
Enabling the Microsoft 365 search
To enable the integration with the Microsoft 365 search, go to Global Settings > Microsoft 365. Under the Microsoft 365 Features section, there's a new toggle titled Microsoft 365 Search.
Granting Diggspace consent to search Microsoft 365
As Diggspace will interact with your Microsoft 365 tenant to search, you will need to consent to this new usage. There are two ways of doing this.
Admin consent
At the bottom of the page, there is a button that allows Microsoft Entra ID administrators to consent to the required Microsoft 365 permissions for the entire organization. Keep in mind that this applies to Microsoft Entra ID administrators only.
User consent
If you do not have permissions to perform an admin consent, you can let users perform individual consents.
By activating this feature without granting an admin consent, when users try to perform a Microsoft 365 search in Diggspace, they will be asked to grant consent to the specific permissions that are required.
Searching Microsoft 365 within Diggspace
When you search in Diggspace, you will be directed to the search page, where you will see Diggspace's results by default.
On the first page of these results, you will get a preview of the Microsoft 365 results.
When navigating to the Microsoft 365 tab, you will be able to see a full list of the 365 search results. From here, you can filter by content type: Lists, Files, and Sites.
The Microsoft 365 results will be personalized based on the user, and therefore will only display results that the user already has access to.
