Setting up the Microsoft Graph Connector
To ensure that the Graph Connector can properly sync your portal's data, you need to follow the steps below.
Granting permissions for the Graph Connector

You need to be an Entra ID admin to add permissions to the app
In order for Diggspace to create a connection with your Microsoft Graph, the Diggspace app needs to have the appropriate permissions.
Scenario 1: You are using diggspace App Registration as your Microsoft 365 auth provider
- Log into diggspace
- Go to Global Settings and open the Microsoft 365 tab
- If you have a Microsoft Entra ID Admin account, click the consent button. Otherwise, copy the link and share it with your IT team
Scenario 2: You are using a custom App Registration as your Microsoft 365 auth provider
- Log into the Azure Portal
- Access Microsoft Entra ID
- Find your configured App Registration
- Go to the API permissions tab and add the following Application permissions:
- ExternalConnection.ReadWrite.OwnedBy
- ExternalItem.ReadWrite.OwnedBy
- Grant consent
Finally, after granting consent, the Graph Connector can be created.
Including Diggspace content in search results
After creating the connection through the portal, you need to activate it through the Microsoft 365 Search & Intelligence Admin Center. To do so, you just need to follow the steps below.
- Open the Data Sources tab in the Search & Intelligence section of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Look for a table entry named "Diggspace + [Your Portal Name]", and click Include Connector Results in the Required actions column.
- Include Connector results in All vertical: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/intelligentsearch_discoveryblog/graph-connector-results-merged-inline-in-all-vertical/3853184
The results from your portal will start gradually showing up for your users.
Troubleshooting
I have created the connection, but I'm not seeing results yet
- Ensure that you have included the connector results in your Microsoft, following the steps above.
- After creating the connector, we will sync the data with Microsoft Graph, which may take up to a couple of hours. Wait a while before trying to find content again.
If you've followed both steps and still can't see results, reach out to your support contact.
