Configure which Entra ID users have access to Diggspace

If you use the Microsoft authentication provider, by default, all users in your Azure tenant will have access to Diggspace.
In this article, we'll show you how to restrict access to only some users in the tenant.

Restricting access to specific users or groups in Entra ID

You can configure which users will have access to Diggspace through Entra ID.
To do this, you'll have to assign the users to whom you want to give access to the enterprise application, and then restrict the access of that application for assigned users. Follow the steps below.
  1. Open Diggspace's Enterprise Application in your Azure tenant
    1. If you don't know which Enterprise Application to open, read the section Determining which Enterprise Application is in use by Diggspace below
  2. Go to Manage > Users and groups
  3. Click on "Add user/group" and choose the users or groups that you want to have access to Diggspace
  4. Go to Manage > Properties
  5. Set "Assignment required?" to Yes
  6. Save
From now on, only the individual users or users in the groups selected in step 3 will be able to log in to your Diggspace portal.
Alert
Keep in mind that as new users join your organization, they will have to be added to the list of users or to one of the groups selected in order to have access to Diggspace.

Determining which Enterprise Application is in use by Diggspace

By default, Diggspace uses the Enterprise Application with id a6604cc9-a6f7-4009-96ba-9f837e528977.
If you use a custom app, you can get the Application Id in User Management > Authentication > Microsoft 365, where you will have an input field App Id.
