Channel Analytics

Channel Analytics

The channel analytics tab lets you compare the impact of the content published by channel. Here are some use cases for the channel analytics:
  1. Comparing the impact of different types of communications (e.g. company news vs company policies).
  2. View which channels have the most user generated content.
  3. Check which channels your users pay the most attention to
These channel analytics are made up of a table where each row contains:
  1. The channel
  2. The number of articles published in the channel, during the selected time period
  3. The number of authors that published an article in the channel
  4. The views of the articles in that channel
  5. The reach, which is the number of users reached by the articles in that channel
  6. The likes given on articles published in that channel
  7. The comments posted on articles in that channel

Filtering the channel analytics

At the top, you have three filters to refine your analysis:
  1. Time interval - this will filter all the data to only include the interactions that have happened during the time interval chosen.
  2. Filter by publish date - this will only display data for the articles published within the specified time interval.
  3. Filters button - this opens up a side menu with one option.
    1. Channels - only includes the selected channels in the table. Use this if you want to compare specific channels head-to-head.

Exporting the channel analytics data

By clicking the export button above the table, you can export the information in the detail table, which will generate an Excel spreadsheet with all the information presented.
This will let you create your own reports and analysis on top of this information.
The columns for the exported Excel spreadsheet are:
  1. ChannelId
  2. ChannelName
  3. Channel Url
  4. ArticlesPublished
  5. Authors
  6. Views
  7. Reach
  8. Reactions
  9. Comments
